I have to tell you..it has been a rich weekend! I am overwhelmed at God's goodness and His blessings and hand of favor on KiDs Beach Club. We brought in our Area Directors from all over and had a wonderful Christmas Party & Dinner Saturday night. We were blessed to provide our Area Directors (and most of their spouses) a sweet time of fellowship with our Board Members and some amazing friends and supporters of KiDs Beach Club.
I would like to thank Bro. Bill Anderson for sharing a wonderful word of encouragement. God has used you mightily to encourage and give us spiritual wisdom over the years. I am so thankful for how God has used you to lead Jack to establish a 501(c)(3) and think bigger than just a program of our church. What vision!
John Meador, our Sr. Pastor at First Euless, shared his heart and an amazing word of encouragement as well. Thank you Pastor! It means a lot to us that you support us in reaching outside the walls of the church. Your insight as a pastor helps our Area Directors know how to better approach other pastors and churches to see that it's about helping them see that God's word encourages them to "go" and not just "come hear" on Sundays. We are to truly reach out into the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world in desperate need of a Savior! Thank you for encouraging the FBCE Staff and church to minister through our 9 Beach Clubs to over 607 children! Our 82+ servant leaders have seen over 109 children pray and invite Jesus to be their Forever Friend! Wow!
The whole night was simply amazing! We heard from our Area Directors about what God is doing in each of their specific regions of Texas and Georgia. As I listened and looked around the room I was simply overwhelmed until when it came time for me to share about my own area, I did so as a blubbering idiot! Eight years ago God birthed KiDs Beach Club with just one part-time employee, Michelle Gregory. Then she became our first full-time employee. God used her to build a team to start our very first Beach Club in Bellaire Elementary School in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD in the Spring of 2003. Almost 8 years later we are still serving in that school every Friday! Because I was trying to speak through my tears I didn't even get to share with everyone something very special. The Superintendent of HEB ISD, Dr. Buinger, stated that Bellaire Elementary received the Exemplary Rating, the highest rating, for the first time it its history and he felt it was directly related to the fact that a church had a presence on that campus for almost a decade! Well, that church is First Baptist Euless and the "presence" on that campus is their Beach Club! Can you believe it? We have had a Beach Club on that campus now for 8 years! To God be the glory!
Then God called Russell Gregory to step out in faith and join the KBC Staff full time in June of 2007. The following October 2007 God called Jack to step out of his position as Children's Pastor at First Euless to join KBC full time. So to think that just 3 years ago it was just the Gregorys and Terrells with a couple of area directors to now 6 Area Directors, a bookkeeper and graphic artist who serve part time, and an amazing group of godly and women who serve on our board and support and encourage us and give us great wisdom and guidance. Wow! I'm telling you...I was overwhelmed and humbled to see what God was doing. I can only imagine what our future looks like!
Thank you for your part in KiDs Beach Club. You may be a pastor, children's minister, volunteer...whatever your role is....THANK YOU! Thank you for Making Jesus Cool @ School!
