I wanted to tell you that yesterday was a real answer to personal prayer... Julie came outside so excited and said that she had prayed asking Jesus to be in her heart, and that she wanted to be baptized!
I am friends with Julie's mom, and she is so like many of the people we all live near. Julie's mom was raised in a Christian home, believes that Christian clubs are good, and she was happy to have her two children go to Beach Club. You see she's never taken the kids to church... at all! They have managed to have both of their children involved in sports, dance, Brownies, all sorts of things but not church. I'd bring it up to her, and she never said she didn't want to go to church, she just hadn't gotten around to it yet -- "Maybe after soccer season!" I had invited her to church with me many times, and to VBS, but there was always an inconvenience about going.
Because of Beach Club and the great work, lives are being changed! Julie's mom called me yesterday and said this is confirmation for her that she really has neglected teaching her children about God. She now plans to start attending church and to let Julie get baptized. Praise God!

Thank you and the Kid Beach Club organization. Wow...thank you for the Kit Kats. The staff enjoyed them. I appreciate everything that the Kid’s Beach club has done for our students. You all have been a blessing to the College Street family. I appreciate the prayers and the support that you all have given us. I have seen the impossible become possible J.
The Kids Beach Club has not only impacted our students, it has impacted some of our parents. Some parents started attending church because of the message that their children heard at school. I am eager to have Northview Baptist as part of our family.

Hi KBC,
We had our last KiDs Beach Club yesterday for the ’11-’12 school year. Once again, I was amazed as the kids walked through the gym doors. They were excited to say their memory verse and talk about last week’s verse.
One boy came in and said that he is now going to a different school but that he didn't want to miss Beach Club. So he came even though he is attending a different school.
At the start of Club yesterday, we asked the kids to write down what they liked about Beach Club and what they had learned. I was pretty amazed and thought you might enjoy some of their comments:
“I liked that we learned about God and we worship His name and played games. I learned that God is mighty powerful and died on the cross for us.”
“I liked the games, fun and the people. I learned that you always can forgive and be faithful.”
“The stories help me understand about God and what He has done for us. I learned that God is good and we can be born again. I also learned that forgiveness and patience is good and thankfulness is nice.”
It was fun and we can't wait to see what God's going to do in the '12-'13 school year... thanks guys!

I had no idea we could access elementary schools this easily. When I told my church, they jumped at the chance to influence kids in our community. KiDs Beach Club has been a huge success in influencing kids and getting our church members involved in community transformation.
Thank you for the great impact you are making for the kingdom. I am excited and our church is excited to be a part of this awesome movement.

KiDs Beach Club (KBC) has been a great outreach tool for Gateway Church. Through KBC, we are able to go into the local publics schools each week and minister to over 400 children who do not attend our church on the weekends. The book The Purple Cow suggests that sometimes organizations need to search for “out-of-the-box, creative opportunities to reach their desired goals and visions.” For Gateway Church, KBC is our “purple cow!”
