From Club to Christ: A Child’s Faith Transforms a Family

May 27 11:10 AM
May 27 11:10 AM

At KiDs Beach Club®, we often plant seeds without knowing exactly when they will grow. Every once in a while, God allows us to witness the fruit of those seeds, and it is nothing short of amazing.

We recently received a powerful update from Norwood Elementary School's Beach Club® that reminds us how deeply God works through this ministry. Gabriel Laster started attending club a few years ago, not as an official clubber, but as a “Little.” At KiDs Beach Club®, we allow younger siblings to join if their older brother or sister is in third through fifth grade. Gabriel tagged along with his older brother, Hunter, and was fully engaged from the beginning.

Last year, as a second grader, Gabriel made a profession of faith in February. At the time, his family was not regularly attending church, but God was already stirring something new in their hearts.

As this school year began, several of our club kids had recently been baptized, and conversations about baptism naturally came up during club. Gabriel expressed that he wanted to be baptized as well and became very persistent about it. We reached out to his mom, who mentioned that the family was somewhat looking for a church home. Interestingly, Gabriel’s dad worked with the husband of one of the Kids Ministry leaders at First Baptist Church Burleson.

In family discussions, it was revealed that Gabriel’s dad had never been baptized either. They started attending FBC Burleson and connected with the Kids Ministry team. One of the leaders spoke with the family about baptism and began helping them take steps forward. Although their plans were delayed multiple times due to scheduling, God's timing was perfect.

This month, on Mother's Day, Gabriel’s dad was baptized by one of the pastors at FBC Burleson. Then, in a beautiful moment of faith, he turned around and baptized both of his sons, Hunter and Gabriel.

This video is a testimony of how God uses one small step of obedience to change an entire family.

Stories like this remind us that Beach Club® is about more than a weekly gathering. It is about eternity. From a younger sibling quietly attending club, to a bold young boy ready to follow Jesus, to a father leading his family into faith, this is the kind of transformation only God can bring.

We are grateful to be a small part of it.

Meet Carter Henning: A True Champion On and Off The Golf Course

May 27 11:07 AM
May 27 11:07 AM

In a small Iowa town this spring, there’s a young golfer you need to know about.

Carter Henning is a ninth grader at Calamus-Wheatland High School who loves to play golf. In fact, as a freshman he is ranked as the #1 golfer on his High School team. It’s an impressive accomplishment. But there’s more… much more!

You see, Carter lost part of his left leg in a snowmobile accident just three months ago. Such a debilitating injury would cause most people to just give up on a sport as challenging as golf, but not Carter! In a matter of weeks, he retrained his body to balance through his golf swing. Even after his injury/amputation, Carter has gotten better and better!

Carter is a CHAMPION because he didn’t let adversity rob him of the joy of playing the sport he so loves! He was DETERMINED to succeed.

At KiDs Beach Club®, we understand Carter’s determination and never-quit attitude. No matter what obstacles are in the way, KBC is determined to give every preteen boy and girl a Jesus experience.

And we rely upon you, OUR champions, who provide the resources KBC needs to make that vision a reality!

Donors who Give Every Month (GEMs) provide the backbone of support we need to share Jesus with countless children every year. Please join us as a ministry partner by signing up to give to KBC monthly.

Signing up to be a KBC GEM is easy and quick. Simply scan the QR code below or go to www.kidsbeachclub.org/donate today. Your monthly gift, no matter how small or large, will be a tremendous blessing to KBC.

One Meeting Was All It Took: Disciples Rising at Richton Elementary

Apr 29 9:48 AM
Apr 29 9:48 AM

At KiDs Beach Club®, we often say that one moment in God's presence can change everything. And now we have another a beautiful reminder of just how true that is.

This week, our newest club at Richton Elementary School, led by Meagen from FBC Richton, launched their very first Beach Club® meeting. Meagen was stepping into something brand new. She wasn’t sure if she was equipped, but she was completely certain that God had called her to this. And wow. He showed up.

After just one meeting, Meagen received a photo from a teacher that brought her to tears. Two sixth grade boys who attended that first club couldn’t keep it to themselves. They were already out on the playground at recess, spreading the word to their friends about what they experienced.

Whole body chills. Joyful tears. Disciples in action!

Meagen texted KBC’s Mobilization Coordinator, Tina Kimbro, "I had whole body chills when the teacher sent this picture to me last night. One meeting is all it took and they are already being disciples."

Then she followed it with this… words that hit deep for every person who has ever questioned their ability to serve: "It’s so amazing. I was so worried I wasn’t equipped to do this, and I know Jesus called me to do this. And now I know He equips the ones He calls. And this is all for Him and His purpose."

What’s happening in Richton is what KBC prays happens at every club across the country. That kids will not only hear about Jesus, but will be ignited with a boldness to share Him with others. This is not just a club. It is the beginning of a movement in this school.

Meagen, KBC is cheering you on and praising God for how He is using you and these amazing kids already. One meeting in and eternity is already being impacted!

Let’s keep building bridges to Jesus, one recess at a time.

Why Your Church Should Start a Beach Club: A Word from Dr. Mark Moore

Apr 29 9:48 AM
Apr 29 9:48 AM

At KiDs Beach Club®, we believe every church has a unique opportunity to step beyond its four walls and reach kids right where they are: in their schools.

In this video, Pastor Dr. Mark Moore, a passionate leader, longtime supporter, and Board of Directors Member of KiDs Beach Club®, shares why your church should seriously consider sponsoring a club.

Dr. Moore explains how Beach Clubs® create a bridge between the church and the community. He shares how these weekly clubs give volunteers and leaders an open door to love, serve, and lead kids to Christ. He also highlights how the partnership between a local church and its nearby school can be one of the most effective and lasting ministries a church can be part of.

His message is clear. If your church is looking for a way to make an eternal difference in your community, KiDs Beach Club® is ready to help you begin. The harvest is ready. All we need is YOU.

Watch the video to hear Dr. Moore’s heart and see why now is the time to start a club.

GEM CHAMPION – Never Give Up

Apr 29 9:48 AM
Apr 29 9:48 AM

A tall, skinny kid from Ohio shocked the world in the 1972 Munich Olympics by completing a comeback in the 800-meter race that is still being talked about today, more than 50 years later!

David Wottle was an outstanding collegiate runner, competing at Bowling Green University at the highest levels. He ended up qualifying for the 1972 Olympics, but the newly-married Wottle developed a severe case of tendinitis in his left knee just days before traveling to Germany.

At the Olympics, Woddle said he felt like he was at “85-90 percent” of his ideal conditioning, but pushed through and lined up for the 800-meter race, a brutal all-out sprint for half a mile. When the gun sounded, Woddle ended up yards behind the other runners within the first few steps due to the pain. For three-quarters of the race, he was lagging far behind the pack. But then, something in him changed.

He pushed through the pain in his knee and passed runner after runner, stretching out at the finish line to take the GOLD MEDAL by just a few hundredths of a second. Woddle was a CHAMPION because he refused to give up, fighting the pain in his body and winning Olympic glory.

KiDs Beach Club® understands the value of never giving up, and we are blessed by our many faithful donors who stand proudly and support KBC with their monthly gifts. They are OUR CHAMPIONS because they never quit supporting the ministry!

Donors who Give Every Month (GEMs) provide the backbone of support we need to share Jesus with countless children every year. Would you please join us as a ministry partner by signing up to give to KBC monthly?
